Inspiration for a calm home office

We must be gluttons for punishment because in addition to finishing our kitchen remodel, redecorating the family room, and starting a bathroom remodel; we've decided to take on the task of redecorating our home office. The room needs to serve 3 functions: a study space for me, an office for Cody, and a hang out space for the dogs. We've decided to go with a monochromatic color scheme (white) to keep things simple and calming with accents of black to keep it exciting.

The room will have 2 of these Vika Gruvan/Vika Artur desks from Ikea. I found this room on HGTV's Rate my space. I love the simplicity of the floating shelves.

Since our room will be feautring two desks on the same wall, I love the idea of unifying the two work spaces with massive floating shelves.


The kitchen remodel and the deck should both be done next weekend. Stay posted for pictures of both.

Master Bathroom Inspiration

Even though we have a million other things going on, I recenlty started the renovation of the Master Bathroom. Here are two inspiration pictures that I love. I love the cafe curtains and framless shower in this first one.
And I love the wall color and chandelier in this second picture.

Renovation projects

In the past two years we've started a lot of renovation projects on our house. Not too many have been finished but here's an update on where they stand.

Checklist

Master Bedroom- Done!

Kitchen- Finish cabinet doors, crown molding, and paint walls and ceiling

Living Room- Install panel molding on wall, paint walls and ceiling, install ceiling fan, build cornice box, new rug

Master Bathroom- New framless shower stall, paint walls, new vanity top and facets, re-tile floor and shower
